Henry has become extremely attached to his blanket over the last few weeks. It’s a Winnie the Pooh satin edged and lined blanket. I get why he likes it: it’s silky, soft, warm and snugly all at once.
A few weeks ago our nighttime routine involved Henry nursing to sleep every night. Now, he MUST snuggle with his blanket while he nurses, otherwise he will fight sleep like there’s no tomorrow. He’s nursed for over an hour before, fighting sleep, wide awake the whole time until I got the blanket out for him to cuddle with, and then he immediately passed out.
It’s close to 80 degrees in my house right now. The AC is off and the windows are open. Every fan in the house is whirring. I’m currently nursing Henry to sleep, and shvitzing bullets while I do so, because my baby must have his blanket to snuggle with right now.
I don’t know if you can tell in this picture or not, but his hair is damp from him sweating while he’s under this sauna-inducing blanket.
