Oh my goodness…..I don’t even know how to begin to describe this. My hips hurt. I’m generally ok in the morning, but as the day goes on it starts to hurt more and more, and usually around 8 or 9 pm it is quite intense. There are times when I simply can’t move because my hips won’t cooperate. There have been several instances where I’ve cried out in pain because I simply tried to move. My brother-in-law calls it “shooting ass pain,” and I have to say he’s pretty much on the mark. The pain starts deep in the butt cheek and then radiates down to my knee. At this point in time it’s my right side that hurts the most, although a couple weeks ago I would have said it was the left. Sitting on a heating pad helps, as does taking some Tylenol. The best thing I’ve found is for J to squeeze my hips (commonly referred to as the double hip squeeze). This feels amazing, but the downside is that it only provides relief while he’s squeezing, and then my hips go right back to being painful when he’s done. Other than these few things I really have no idea what to do about it.
Has anyone else dealt with sciatic pain and know a way to help relieve it?
